This course is delivered via a workshop style approach and participants will be active and engaged throughout. Content includes reflective, interactive and enquiry-based learning activities.

Aim

This training session aims to empower staff to identify how they can create supportive environments for autistic students.

Objectives

Develop an enhanced awareness and understanding of Autism
Explore specific barriers and challenges facing autistic students
Identify strategies relevant to your programme/school/college/ to mitigate these challenges and create a more supportive environment at University of Galway

Target Audience

Teaching, research and administrative staff at University of Galway. Staff from fees, student services, exams, registration. Any staff member to interacts with students directly or indirectly.
